Over the past year, we’ve been calling for transforming the current moratorium on natural gas drilling, fracking and related activities in the Delaware River Watershed into a permanent ban. As a result, the DRBC adopted a resolution to prepare draft regulations that could lead to ban or partial ban on fracking but also will be written to allow the dumping of frack wastewater and the withdrawal of fresh water for fracking “where permitted”. The draft regulations are due to be issued by Nov. 30.
Please join us November 15 to demand a complete and permanent ban on natural gas drilling and fracking and all related activities (including wastewater processing and discharges from and water withdrawals for drilling and fracking operations).
We have learned the hard way that if you build it, if you allow it, they will come. It defies logic to say fracking is banned but the toxic waste it produces and the water it depletes is acceptable.
Join us to express our shock and disappointment that the DRBC is preparing to issue these draft regulations and tell them to simply Ban it All! Join us to make it clear that the public will not accept regulations that would allow the Delaware to be dumped on and depleted.
Join us Nov. 15 to say: YES Frack Ban, NO Frack Waste, NO Water Pilfering!
