Residents in several communities are fighting a plan to build a sewage sludge processing facility at the Grand Central Sanitary Landfill in Plainfield Township right next door to Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. There are concerns about possible health effects, safety and property value impacts in the towns. A group of residents has started a grass roots campaign against the project.
