Petty’s Island Shoreline Cleanup and Trail Stewardship Day

Petty’s Island Shoreline Cleanup and Trail Stewardship Day

Petty’s Island, Pennsauken, New Jersey
Led by Fred Stine, Citizen Action Coordinator, and’

Kelly Wenzel, Project Director – Urban Education& Outreach
Saturday, March 18, 2017
8:30 a.m. to Noon

Petty's Island is privately‐owned and is in the midst of an amazing transformation from an active marine
terminal and oil storage facility into a State Park. Access to the island is limited, so don't miss this
opportunity to see the island and help in its transformation. We will be doing a cleanup of the shoreline
where marine debris threatens the health of wildlife and humans. We will also be blazing a trail for use
by schools and other visiting groups.
Children MUST be 12 and older to participate. Registration is REQUIRED for this event; online
registration only. Directions and other details are given upon registration.
Registration is open February 1 to March 15 at https://pettyisspringcleanup.eventbrite.com
