After 7 years of advocacy which all began with a petition filed by Delaware Riverkeeper Network in 2001 with the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC), we have secured Special Protection Waters (SPW) designation for the Lower Delaware River from the Water Gap to Washington Crossing.

July 2013 the Radnor Township Commissioners proposed passage of a stormwater user fee ordinance. As drafted, user fees collected by the proposed township ordinance would have been used on collecting, conveying, detaining and/or treating stormwater; funds would not have been used on stormwater practices that avoid, minimize and/or infiltrate stormwater.

The Susquehanna-Roseland Transmission Lines (SR) consists of 150’ tall monopoles stretching from Susquehanna, PA to Roseland, NJ crossing over three different National Parks, including the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, The Middle Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

Delaware Riverkeeper Network was among the lead organizations nationally challenging the proposed TPP trade deal that would have increased LNG exports and thereby upped pressure for fracking, and bypassed critical environmental protections on many fronts.  The efforts of DRN and our partners were successful in securing growing opposition to the TPP and its ultimate rejection.
