Guidance on PFAS Testing and Health Outcomes Meeting 2 - Eastern Town Hall

DRN Deputy Director, Tracy Carluccio will be speaking as a panelist on the townhall:

Second Meeting for Guidance on PFAS Testing and Health Outcomes - Eastern U.S. Town Hall

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are chemicals with almost ubiquitous exposure in the United States. Considering the vastness of this exposure, it is difficult to know who, when, how, and what to test, as well as the risks of testing.

The ongoing National Academies study, Guidance on PFAS Testing and Health Outcomes, will provide advice for clinicians about PFAS testing and how test results should inform clinical care. Additionally, our expert committee will examine the health outcomes associated with PFAS exposure and will develop principles clinicians can use to advise patients on exposure reduction.

We invite you to join us on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 for a town hall where community representatives and stakeholders from the eastern United States will share their ideas and concerns with the study committee regarding PFAS testing.

Tracy Carluccio will be on as a panelist during the second session in the afternoon.

More information, including the full agenda, can be found at the events webpage.
