Fracked Gas Bomb Trains Through Philly?

Please Join Us for an On-line Forum August 5!

There’s a proposal speeding ahead to bring Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bomb trains through Philadelphia neighborhoods – up to two 100-car trains per day! This threatens the safety, health and future of our communities but we have a way to stop this reckless idea. Join our forum to find out more and learn how you can get involved.

The plans to transport hazardous, flammable, and potentially explosive LNG in rail tank cars through Philadelphia to a proposed terminal across the river in Gibbstown, NJ is part of a huge project to export polluting fracked gas in dangerous liquid from the shale regions of Pennsylvania to the Delaware River for export overseas – all to financially benefit a private company, despite the impacts and costs to the public and our environment.

Come listen to a rail car expert and community members, learn about the larger context for this dirty gas transport and export scheme, and explore the interactive map that shows exactly what streets and bridges these trains would use ( http://www.delawareriverkeeper.org/ongoing-issues/lng-gibbstown-interactive-map ). You’ll hear about decisions being made right now on approvals for this proposal that we can directly influence.

All welcome, let's connect to derail this dangerous and life-threatening train transport to the proposed Gibbstown LNG Export terminal! Find out how to get involved!
