Stop the Warehouse in Phillipsburg, NJ Webinar

STOP THE WAREHOUSE in Phillipsburg! - Help David stand-up and defeat Goliath

Join us for an important informational webinar regarding the warehouse project in Phillipsburg, NJ!
Monday, October 25, 2021 - 7:00PM – 8:30PM

Come learn what you can do and how local groups and even individuals are making a real difference protecting the BEAUTIFUL DELAWARE RIVER

Elected officials and the Land Use Board are trying to ram a warehouse down the throats of their residents. A large wooded area on the Delaware River waterfront would be lost. The proposed site is adjacent to an Environmental Justice community as well as the downtown business community struggling to draw-in new customers. The added tractor trailer traffic on Howard and So. Main Street will negatively impact both of those communities.

The picture above shows a conceptual plan of the 510,000 square foot warehouse that was to be built on Peron property along the river.

Thanks to the efforts of the grassroots group NO WAREHOUSES IN DOWNTOWN PHILLIPSBURG, the developer has been forced to reduce the size of their project from 510,000SF to 420,000SF. Even the "smaller" warehouse will have 80 loading bays, 39 parking spaces for tractor trailers and 400 passenger vehicles – all of which will degrade the public safety and health of the residents, businesses and the Delaware River. Further, the Phillipsburg community has initiated a lawsuit against the Township for their failure to follow appropriate land use protocol and regulations.
