Camp FIMFO’s Final Environmental Impact Statement needs to be publicly shared!

HOT NEWS: Northgate Resorts has submitted their final environmental impact statement (FEIS) to the Planning Board on the Camp FIMFO waterpark project which they will be reviewing over the course of the next two monthly meetings and additional work sessions. The dates of the sessions are as follows:

Wednesday, June 11 6-8PM
Wednesday, June 25 5-6PM (before PB mtg)
Wednesday, July 9 6-8PM
Wednesday, July 23 5-6PM (before PB mtg)

At this time, the 5/28 meeting minutes and Northgate’s recent FEIS submission ARE NOT AVAILABLE on the Town of Highland website. (Though Delaware Riverkeeper Network has received a link to the Final EIS, which you can access here.) We encourage community members to submit requests to the Planning Board to have this information posted immediately– currently it is only available to members of the private Facebook group “Living in Barryville NY”.

Here is a sample message:

I would like to request that the Town of Highland Planning Board upload the 5/28 meeting minutes and the Sun NG Kittatinny RV Camp FIMFO Modernization and Improvement Project Final Environmental Impact Statement submission to the Town of Highland website immediately.

This information is of critical importance to members of the public, both within Barryville and all along the Delaware River corridor, who have been heavily involved with the ongoing SEQR process. Currently, the FEIS update is only available in a private Facebook group, effectively excluding any person not on social media and outside the Town of Barryville. I request that all information posted on this group be made available on the Town website under the meeting minutes page, news & notices page, and calendar page.

Email your request to planningboardzba@townofhighlandny.com and CC townclerk@townofhighlandny.com to ensure that your message is received!
