Kayak Paddling Fun on the Delaware River

The Delaware Riverkeeper Network is offering two FREE 3-hour guided, LEARN-TO-PADDLE trips on the Delaware River starting at the Glen Foerd Historic Mansion in Northeast Philadelphia. Each trip will be guided by experienced paddling instructors to help both youth and adults learn to paddle and enjoy this relaxing sport right in your own backyard.

Our river guides will also share important info about the Delaware River and the fish, birds, frogs and other wildlife that live in and around the area.

The trips are opened to all ages 14+. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Come prepared: Getting in and out of your boat can be a wet and muddy experience. All participants should come dressed for the weather and be prepared for moderate physical exertion. Consider bringing a towel and something to change into afterwards. Don’t forget your hat, water, snacks, and sunscreen!

* Guests should arrive 15 mins early to receive a safety talk, sign waivers, and other trip preparations

All participants will also be required to fill out the following waiver forms in order to participate. You may print these physical copies and bring them to the site the day of. We will also provide additional copies on site just in case.
