URGENT ACTION NEEDED –
On-Line Meeting Monday, April 21, 6:30 pm
Register for the meeting.
The proposed Gibbstown LNG Export Terminal Dock (called DOCK 2) is under consideration again for an extension of their permit at the Delaware River Basin Commission. As you know, the public fiercely fought the original permit and the extension but in the end the applications were granted by the DRBC for the Export terminal to go ahead. No construction has occurred, however, and the project has languished.
JOIN US for an organizing zoom meeting/webinar to learn how to comment and what you can do. Unfortunately, there is a very short 10-day comment period – ending April 24! Here’s their notice: https://www.nj.gov/drbc/programs/project/docket-extension-req.html
We will also be discussing the Frack Attack that the Trump Administration is unleashing for oil and gas development, trying to undo the Delaware River Watershed’s ban on fracking, and their assault on climate and justice policies, as well as the push to export more LNG overseas.
This comment period is an opportunity for us to weigh in and tell the DRBC to vote to deny the Gibbstown LNG Export Dock extension. There is also the possibility of getting a public hearing on this if we get 3 votes of the DRBC Commissioners – the governors of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware and the federal representative from the Army Corps of Engineers. So, let’s get that Hearing!
Join us for a zoom meeting to get the lowdown on the Gibbstown LNG export extension, the actions you can take, the Frack Attack and Climate Assault on the Delaware River Watershed by registering here: https://bit.ly/mtgLNGDock2Permit
THANK YOU for taking action – together we will prevail!
