East Whiteland Township, in Chester County, PA has an incredible opportunity to create a neighborhood park for the benefit of its residents. The Board of Supervisors can exercise its power of eminent domain to secure ownership of the current Bishop Tube property and preserve its use as recreational space intended to encourage and support low impact, nature-based recreational activities. The Township’s Comprehensive Plan identifies the Bishop Tube property could “accommodate a neighborhood scale park” and, complimented by surrounding areas, to support recreational opportunities, including trails. The East Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors ought to seize this opportunity!
Please sign on to the letter in support of the park!
